Lession 5 - To change the spiritual climate over a city
Why we reach levels when we try to reach a city for Christ
Illustration: A new car without fuel
Parable: seed stolen by bird when it is lying on the ground too long
The church has a tendency to make principles into methods, and then to programs that it is keeping going
This is an attemtp to control the works of God
Changing of the spiritual climate in San Nicolas in Argentine
A.Conversions with the gates of the city (sunday)
B. Consecrate the homes to homes for lost sheeps (monday)
C.Establish God's borderlines. Focus on holiness - "Throw sins" in the dust (tueday). Secure God's borderlines (tuesday)
D. Prayerwalk in the city and talk peace (wednesday)

Expand borderlines
E. Establish "prayer lighthouses" for every quarter of the city (thursday)
F.Prayer and fasting (friday)
G.Visit the whole city (saturday)
H.Prayer gathering in the park
Celebrate with communion for the whole city (sunday)
A. The devil use parts of the truth to cover up other parts of the truth
1.The church was born in the upper room
a. the church was conceived on the upper room, but was born on the marketplace
c,The church does not belong inside four walls

The wholy spirit came through prayer
The people in the upper room has sat down after a comitte meeeting (acts 2,2,) Jew did not sit when they prayed.
3. Jesus asked Peter to wath over the sheep (the church) see john 21.
The herd includes all the sheeps. especially those outside of the. THese meed most care.
B. God calls pastors to be sheperds fr the city, and durign that process also take care of the church
Conclusion
You are called to be a sheperd for your working place, your neighhbourhood, your school ... . Jesus asks you to "feed my sheep". The pastors of San Nicolas changed the spiritual climate over their city. You also can do that.

Session 6 - To sustain the new climate over the city
A hostile climate (Luke 4-9)
A.The baptism of Jesus. The Father declares that Jesus is his Son. (Luk.3,22) Ø13When the devil had finished all this tempting, he left him until an opportune time.
B.Satan attacks Jesus and is defeated (Luk 4,1-13
C. Satan tries to mobilize the friends of Jesus and neighbours to kill him (Luk.4,14-30)
D.First a demon, and then many others attack Jesus (see 4,33-41)
E.The pharisees and the teachers of the law asks Jesus Luke 5,21The Pharisees and the teachers of the law began thinking to themselves, “Who is this fellow who speaks blasphemy? Who can forgive sins but God alone?” and they complained and seeks a reason to accuse him (Luke 6,7) and discuss how to harm him:
7The Pharisees and the teachers of the law were looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, so they watched him closely to see if he would heal on the Sabbath.
F.John the baptist doubts (Luke 7,18-23)
G.Satan manipulates the nature, and Jesus rebukes the storm (se 8,22-25)
22One day Jesus said to his disciples, “Let's go over to the other side of the lake.” So they got into a boat and set out. 23As they sailed, he fell asleep. A squall came down on the lake, so that the boat was being swamped, and they were in great danger. 24The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Master, Master, we're going to drown!” He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm. 25“Where is your faith?” he asked his disciples. In fear and amazement they asked one another, “Who is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him.”
H.A legion of demons come against Jesus (see 8,26-36)
I. Everybody are afraid of Jesus and begs him to leave them (see 8,37)
J.The disciples are used by the devil (9,55). See also Matth.16 where Peter talkes on behalf of the devil- They are unable to cast out a demon and become demonized. Jesus calls them “O unbelieving and perverse generation,” Jesus replied, “how long shall I stay with you and put up with you? Bring your son here.”
K.Jesus is unable to recruit more disciples (see 9,57-62)

A good spiritual climate (Luke 11,24)
A.The disciples askes Jesus to teach them how to pray (see 11,1)
B.Demons do no more accuse Jesus (see 11,14)
C. Increase of people around Jesus (se 11,29)
D.Jesus turns the tide, and the devil is set out

1.Jesus is offensive against the teachers of the law (see 11,35-52)
2.Jesus calls pharisees hippocrates (see 12,1); they are humiliated and asks Jesus to disappear (see 13,17+31); they are silenced (see 14,4); they complain (see 15,2), og they mock (see 16,14)
3.Disciples asks Jesus to increase their faith (see 17,5)
4.children incorporates in his army (see 18,15-17)
5.The crowd take an active part (see 19,37-39)
6.Jesus cleans the templet and teach there. The crowd become a shield around him (see 19,45)
IV.Sum and conslusion
You are called to shepers on your working place, your neighbourhood, school and so on. Jesus asks you to 'feed my sheep'. The pastor of San Nicolas changed the spiritual climate over their city. So you can do.
